1. Knee-high boots
One of the most common styles when it comes to types of boots for women. Just as the name suggests, the length of these boots goes up to the knees or just below them. When the temperature is below freezing point (quite literally), the knee-high boots add an extra layer of warmth to your leg. Also, one can’t ignore the sexy quotient these boots add to any ensemble.
2. Thigh-high boots
Also known as over-the-knee boots, these too fall under tall boots. Another savior from the harsh cold winds, these types of boots go up to your thigh or mid-thigh. 3. Ankle boots

7. Combat boots or army boots
These types of boots were initially designed for the military but it’s soon found their way to the common mass due to their functional aspect. Featuring a thick sole the boots go up to your calf.
8. Biker boots
Featuring low heels and buckles and straps the biker boots were initially designed for the bikers to give them better control of the motorcycle. Along with the statement appeal, the boots have a masculine feel to them.
9. Sock boots
These types of boots feature a steep heel and are fitted to form. As it properly fits the leg, the overall look is chic and sexy. The sock-like appearance is achieved through materials such as suede, neoprene, or fabric.
10. Lita boots
Named after Lita Ford from the 70s band The Runaways, the boots feature a platform and chunky heels. The heel height reaches 5.25 inches in this ankle boot. These were introduced in 2010 by the shoe company, Jeffrey Campbell.
11. Wellington boots
These are waterproof boots made up of rubber or plastic. Not a fashionable option, these types of boots for women are helpful for the wet season. With their thick sole, these boots are helpful when the question is to walk through muddy fields.
12. Shearling boots
Featuring wool lining and suede surface, these were popularised by surfers in Australia around 1960. The most common type of shearling boots is Uggs.
